Prof Andrew McCaskie is the Director of the Centre and Head of the Department of Surgery at the University of Cambridge. He leads the Smart Step programme funded by the UK Regenerative Medicine Platform (£1.6M) and is one of the five co-investigators to establish the Cambridge Single Cell Analysis Clinical Core Facility (MRC, £3.48M). He is UK clinical lead for cell therapy trials for avascular necrosis (Bonetherapeutics) and osteoarthritis (Adipoa 2 €5.9M).
