Sally Roberts is a Keele University research scientist in a clinical centre (Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry), which delivers cell therapy to patients for degenerative joint disorders. She has a long history of researching the biology and diseases of the intervertebral disc but is now involved with a clinical trial investigating alternative cell populations for cartilage and bone repair, as well as a large body of associated related basic science research.
